M.A.R.C. (Mural Arts of Rochester Crew) is a mural arts project created to work with communities and youth to revitalize for 4 designated quadrants of the Rochester city area.
Ten youth are hired by the City of Rochester’s Department of Recreation and Youth Services and trained in community art development, leadership, communication, and participate in empowerment workshops, as well as field trips to broaden their outlook on the arts and its benefits.
The group of City youth is lead and directed by a Public Arts Coordinator, Shawn Dunwoody and Assistant Coordinator, Jessica Buchiere. Both experienced in working with youth and the arts.
